Review on SS 908 Stainless Steel Nostril Scissors by Anita Barlow

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality scissors

I bought these scissors to replace my Rubis scissors which are about 50% more expensive than them. It's not as good as the Rubis scissors but for the lower price it's worth it and it does the job very well. Differences: 1) Rubis blades are sharper; Seki blades are pretty sharp, but not that sharp. 2) My fingers are medium sized but the seki holes are too small especially for my thumb; the Rubis has much larger and more comfortable finger holes; if the holes in the Seki are too small for you, then you can remove the rubber inserts, which I did, now they fit. 3) The tips of the Seki blades are slightly thicker than the tips of the Rubis blades, which means you won't get close to the skin with Sekis, which in turn means your hair won't be cut as close; Again, Seki is good, but not as good as Rubis. 4) Although the Rubis Shears are slightly smaller in width and length, they are actually 16% heavier, indicating stronger steel construction. If you want the best scissors and can afford them, try Rubis. If you want good or very good scissors for less money, Seki is great.
