We bought this inverter to connect our deep cycle batteries in our van that we were converting for long haul trips. On the last trip we took our inverter didn't have enough watts to power a fan and light up a coffee shop about 48ft long to give our boring campsite a '60s party vibe but modern LED - Illumination to brighten. I can either use a 12 volt plug and wire that plugs into the dash and gets power from the van battery or I can use a wire with clamps and connect to our deep cycle marine battery racks, to power the low power fans and the radiators light threads that distinguish us from Christmas light installations. This inverter also has USB ports so we can charge our phones from the battery without worrying about the van battery dying overnight.
