As they are exactly 120mm (fan size) and the fan is plastic there is no iron surface to attach the magnet to. They barely held onto the corners where the fans were screwed in and fell off at the slightest hit. They would be ideal if they were 160 wide and 120 high so they could reach the metal surface of my front panel. I ended up returning them and got some AC filter media. It was less than $3 and was a much better solution to my specific problem.
