Review on Discontinued Logitech Z337 ๐Ÿ”‡ Speaker Set: Find Alternate Options by Keith Baker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is excellent. A little heavy bass (aka goofy) but that's okay.

I needed something for my new office space so after a long search I settled on the Logitech Z337. It's good to have Bluetooth to connect my phone, but most of the time I only use the system with a laptop connected via an aux cable. The volume control feels comfortable. But the most important thing for me is the sound quality. Well, Z337 is fine. Not good. Not horrible. It does the job, but I'm not thrilled. It can be very loud, but the biggest complaint is that the sound is a bit muddy. I like that you can control the amount of bass from the subwoofer, but wish the main speakers were a bit brighter and clearer. The "funny" thing is that my home computer speakers stopped working two weeks after I bought the subwoofer. Z337 for my office. So I started looking for a system again, this time for my home office. Since I wasn't thrilled with the Z337 (and they're up $20!), I decided to try something else. I took a chance with another Logitech product but ended up with a Z407 2.1 system. Wow! Much better than Z337! There's still decent bass, but the main speakers sound a lot cleaner. I may be changing my sound systems as my new office will likely have 2 or 3 times the space of my home office. So if the price is the same or even higher on the Z407, take it instead of the Z337. Again, the Z337 is fine, but the Z407 is much better sonically.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
