I'm a student and found these useful for toasting small batches of veggies in my toaster. You can eat directly from them, saving energy and meals. I like to pour in a little more olive oil than needed and fry a few batches (just chop and add more, and it gets better each time with the addition of salt and sriracha sauce) before washing. There are a few recipes I've come across that only make two cupcakes, which they're absolutely perfect for. They can also be useful for very small pies/tarts and for reheating soups. However, it's not obvious how small they are until you get them. They're slightly larger than a 1 cup measuring cup and the Q&A (this came up after I bought them) says they can hold about 8 ounces, which sounds something like that. I was kinda interested in a bigger device but they are good for their purpose.
