I used to use Purina One Small Bites Beef and Rice for my 16 pound chorgi. He loves that goodness and I felt it was a good choice for him. I know many people who have fed Purina One dogs and cats their entire lives and the animal has been healthy and lived to a ripe old age. I know this isn't super premium food. I fed them and the only two improvements I saw on them were a smaller stool and a softer coat. Since my dog has no food allergies or health problems, I don't think it's worth the high price. I have also used Pro Plan as they have different formulas for small breeds. I was so excited to see that Purina One now has a small breed formula and I wanted to try it! The size of the pieces is perfect for small jaws and my dog loves it. He has good energy levels and still has a nice, soft and shiny coat. i love the price I will continue to buy from Amazon.
