Review on Adjustable Single Channel Pipettor with Scientific Precision by Jonathan Olson

I use regular plastic syringes to draw multiple solutions for use in my nano reef aquarium, from liquid nutrients to water samples for testing and it is always a circus. Hold the bottle in one hand and try to draw liquid freely, you usually draw more than you need and it's difficult to determine how much to eat, or you end up a little short and then draw some more and now are you done etc I figured it's time to ditch half the small syringes and get a variable volume pipette, I'm very happy and satisfied with the performance and accuracy of the Four E pipette (1-10 ml version). Although it's quite large compared to what I've used before, it's super light and sits really well on my hand, so now all I have to do is give it a thumbs-up to pull it out and squeeze to release! No more guesswork, adjusting the volume of liquid dispensing is very simple. Slowly turn the knob to adjust the volume according to what is shown on the display and once you have it installed you are all set to see how accurate the pipette is, I drew 5ml of water and the graduated syringe for comparison filled. Boom! right on the 5mL line. It's very easy to attach and detach the plastic tips which simplifies my entire tool kit, instead of having a syringe to measure out each solution I use I now just have a few same size plastic tips that can be cleaned and reused when they are safe or discarded when needed. (A small mark on the plastic with an oil-based marker is a good way to identify which tip is being used to avoid contamination and horrible mistakes.) I recommend this tool to anyone who needs a quick, easy, and consistent solution to distribute without breaking the bank!
