I see a lot of people saying these are true to size, and I think that can be true depending on what look you are going for. It's an extremely stretchy material, so you could definitely fit into your true size. But keep in mind it's also very shiny, so the light reflects on every little roll and imperfection. If you are going for the tight, sexy look then either remember it will show that or get some spanx. I started with a L because I normally wear M, but even that was too tight for the look I was going for. I'm getting married in this dress, so I wanted it to be more elegant than sexy. I exchanged it for a XL and now it's perfect! It's not skin tight, and even slightly loose through the chest and hips. But that's okay, it looks really good! I'm only 5' 4" so I will definitely need to get it hemmed. Even with my highest heels it drags on the ground. But I expected that, everything is always long on me. It's a beautiful dress, no matter which way you wear it! Thick material, too!
