I needed an inexpensive water cooler for my one bucket hydroponic system. All I had to do was remove the heatsinks, reverse the Peltier chips and reassemble. Takes 3 gallons of water in my test system from 114F to 68F in just over 4.5 hours with a tiny amphibious pump I bought here for about $11. So far so good, no smoke, no smell and nothing I would consider unusual in terms of power draw. If something goes wrong, the chips or the fan (which is a normal noise for small DC fans), I will update my review.
