You need to buy an adapter if you are using a Windows laptop

Although all the cables are there and the laptop has all the ports, you need 2 identical ports or only one side will work. Single screen expanders are cheaper than dual screen expanders. So if I pay for two screens to work I don't have to buy a 70.00 adapter to make it work. The screen quality and ease of use when it works is amazing.
