Brush fibers are important!

I was looking for a hard brush for washing pots and pans. I use a sisal brush for washing dishes and cutlery, but I needed a stiffer brush to get into the curves of pots and pans and get rid of larger messes. According to the manufacturer's website, their Union fiber brush sounded perfect for this. Rigid but with little flexibility. The curved bristles on the front of this special brush (they come in different shapes) penetrate the curve well. It is able to deal with most stuck foods (dry groats had to be soaked for a few minutes first). I've been using this brush daily for a month to clean stainless steel pots and pans. I also used a second brush to clean non-stick pots and pans daily for almost a month. They were great for both of you! There are no scratches, the bristles only occasionally (usually with intensive use) fall off. They are big and hold up well. If the top of the handle is too sharp, a little sandpaper can remove it. Be sure to oil your wooden handle about once a month! Their website offers cottonseed oil. I think these brushes last six months or more. I'll make them work too. They make a variety of brushes for just about anything you can think of to clean. I will buy from them again when my sisal brushes (from another company) wear out.
