So make sure you get the bumper bolts out first so an extra hand doesn't hurt. I did it myself and it wasn't the most fun I've ever had. Mine was pretty tight so if you have a rubber mallet or mallet it will help me line up the holes. I didn't think the order of installation mattered. It's absolutely true. Tighten the bumper bolts with a steel plate before doing anything else. Leave the wire attached to these screws while you attach the hitch, just in case. If I had done that, I would have saved thirty minutes. It took me a little over an hour for this nonsense. Bring the right tools, a little patience and some grease and you'll be done.
