Easy installation, acceptable fit and finish. The gooseneck feels well thought out: it stays where you put it. The touch switch seems to work well, with no annoying glowing LED or similar nonsense behind it. Touch and hold to adjust the brightness seems to work fine and the device seems to turn back on with the brightness you left. Speaking of brightness, these lamps have a fairly narrow focus and seem to cover a good range of brightness, enough for one person to read in bed while another sleeps. Of course, some light will escape and bounce around the room, but these devices don't flood the room with light, and that's the gist of it, or at least that's what I wanted! UPDATE: A few months later we are loving these lamps. You work great for us. The bed frame will be replaced soon, but I'll leave the lamps where they are.
