Heats well and works in extremely harsh environments with minimal noise levels as no fan runs silently, so be realistic about the sound. Due to the auto-shutoff feature for rollover safety, if it stops oscillating, simply reinstall the base and balance on a smooth surface. It may need a little hand twisting to get it working again, but it will work. The only thing I wish was the remote sensor was on the base so you don't have to wait for the sensor to be right in front of you to control it, but other than that this heater/fan proved better than expected and works better for the $ than from competitors! PS: If the remote doesn't work when you're not around, then it's time to replace (2 AAA batteries) as the ones that come with the kit don't last long.
