I have very high ceilings in my living room and hallway and I usually have to lift my very high ladder to clear cobwebs and dust. With this rag I don't have to do any of that. I'm 5ft 4" and although there are a few spots where I have to stand on my tiptoes or use my little stool, I can still sweep well without having to climb a big tall ladder. When fully extended, I can clean ceilings and all corners perfectly. To get ceiling fans, I can easily bend the head of a rag and clean each blade. While there may be some dust that can be shaken off the fan and fall to the floor, most remains on the rag itself. After I've vacuumed my house completely, I simply wash it and let it dry so that I don't have to buy any more rags because it gets the job done quickly and efficiently.
