Review on Gore Wear Windproof Windstopper Turtleneck: Ultimate Protection against Wind and Cold by Bill Wasson

I had no intention of buying this. I put wardrobe in the cart just to touch it and find out why it's so expensive. After receiving it, I was surprised by the material. I have never held such material in my hands. Anyway, I tried it and I liked it right away. I decided to leave it and try outside the next day. I was also wearing an intermediate layer and it was too much (it was about 10C). The next few times I just wore this base layer and a windproof jacket and the feeling was just great. Works 100%, never felt cold or damp. I paired it first with the Pearl Uzumi Windproof Jacket and then with the Gore C5 ACTIVE Jacket and I have to say that I've never felt so comfortable while riding. Weather below 8°C, strong wind over 30 km is no problem. I also have cheaper base layers and you can see and feel the difference. This is my first expensive base coat so I can't comment on how good it is overall. But I'm very satisfied.
