Braided cables are great because 1) they don't tangle as much and 2) they are more durable than regular rubber-coated cables. I have used many braided cables and they are not all the same. Many still do not have a plug/connector retainer and therefore still fall apart at this junction and soon deteriorate as the braid wears and the wires are exposed. What I love about them is that the piece of rubber that surrounds the male/female connector on each end is longer than most brands and is designed to be flexible.
