The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

The device turned out to be very successful. I chose a camera for 3 weeks, having studied everything in 2022 and English-language photo sites. I compared the pixel-by-pixel detail of the original photographs of different mirror and mirrorless cameras. If you need maximum photo quality with minimum money, then you won’t find a better camera (who disagree - email me). Brake Liveview and the lack of tracking focus cannot completely replace a video camera for you, but in DSLRs are a secondary thing. Regarding exposure metering . In the d5300, it is a little better, but not by much. In principle, this is not critical. But one gets the feeling that the camera lacks dynamic range. By the way, this is the problem with most cameras. The screen is non-touch. Yes, a touch screen would make the camera more expensive and a little less reliable due to the use of different temperatures and conditions . But in 2022 it looks somehow old-fashioned. Yes, and climbing the menu with buttons is extremely inconvenient and you can hardly get used to it. And you have to climb, because a DSLR as such often provides for shooting not on the machine, but in different modes and with different settings. Yes, and when specifying the focus, the touch screen would not hurt. It focuses very poorly on dark objects when shooting in the evening. Often, even worse than a 2022 smartphone! If you look at the photo pixel by pixel (in the aspect of 100%), you can see that the focus here is not quite perfect. No, it's good, and even in more expensive cameras from Nikon and Canon, this is also present. But things are much better in Sony mirrorless cameras. But here it's more likely not in the camera, but in the lens. And want from a whale for 6 not worth more. He is so good. Nevertheless, the same Sony cameras up to 60 make the photo noticeably worse than the d3300 already at iso over 400. The reason for this is Sony's aggressive noise reduction, which overwrites the details of the image. For example, human skin in such pictures looks like a mannequin. Nikon has no such problems. I recommend to buy even now - in 2022.

Pros
  • Photo quality. In this camera, it is the same as on older models - up to d7200. After all, the matrix and processor are the same. Even at high ISO and shooting at night, the photo quality is noticeably better than most competitors up to 50k. R. Price for this photo quality. Good video quality. Honest 60fps writes even in poor lighting, but not at night. At the same time, the sound also writes normally, but in mono. Compact size (for DSLR) Nice clear and bright screen. Visible in the sun. At angles, the image does not get worse. A good kit lens that comes with a stabilizer. Excellent assembly, no backlash or creaks, a feeling of solidity and strength of the device. Although this seems to be characteristic of most DSLRs. On the battery, you can easily pull out about 1000 frames from a single charge (hello to mirrorless cameras with their 240-350 frames!).
Cons
  • Exposure metering here is not entirely clear. You often have to stretch the shadows and eliminate the highlights. Therefore, I recommend shooting in NEF (RAW). No 4k video recording. And iron seems to allow this to be done. Now this is relevant, given that even a smartphone for 10 it can do it, but a DSLR for 25 - no! No tracking focus when shooting video. And, therefore, you can use this SLR as a video camera, mainly when shooting static objects, or use manual focus. Diopter adjustment in the viewfinder is extremely small here! But you can buy a lens. There is no built-in remapping of hot and dead pixels, as in Canon! There is no HDR, but the d5300 has it for a completely different price. There is no folding screen - when shooting macro, something low (bugs or flowers) or high (at a concert above people's heads), it is very lacking. But there is also in the d5300. Not touch screen.

What I wanted, I got. IMHO you won't find better for the money.

For its low price, this is an ideal camera for a beginner and an amateur. Suitable for travel. doesn't weigh much.
