I had several KVM switches and many of them failed after a few months. So this time I spent a little more for something more permanent. Although larger than some, this block is much smaller than I expected. Somehow it looks bigger in the pictures. That's good because it fits perfectly on the table. It is a good weight and very well built with a mostly metal body. It comes with a main unit and proprietary cables that connect to the computer and monitor/keyboard/mouse. At first I didn't think I wanted anything branded, but the cables connect securely and save a lot of desk space, which is a definite plus. Plug and play instructions were well written if you need them. Another nice feature is that the cables are arranged in a way that allows for a clean build. Most other brands have cables everywhere. Advantages. durable, compact, easy to set up cons. not far away.
