I LOVE my Platypus bottles! Last year I took 2 liter bottles with me on day hikes in Peru and I love that (1) I didn't have to fiddle with bulky empty bottles when I was ready and (2) I could fill them up and use them over and over again again. without worrying about them breaking or leaking. They are of excellent quality and designed for many uses. I also prefer the snap top on them over the regular screw top on some other bottles. Here's a hint; When it's empty, blow into the bottle to "inflate" it and turn it upside down to dry so it's completely dry and you don't get mold in nooks and crannies.
