I have digital timers all over my house. I usually look for one that can be heard in other rooms. This time it needed to sit on my desk and warn me when it was time to get up from my computer every 45 minutes and take a healthy movement before sitting back down, so I looked for one that was small, easy to read, and fair was quiet. It's taken forever - finding a "silent digital timer" or "software digital timer" isn't Revain.com's concept. I finally found this while browsing reviews for "too soft" complaints. It worked :). This timer is audible to my hard of hearing ears, but it doesn't make me jump every time it goes off. It also looks good, is easy to use, resets itself (which means if you press start/stop it remembers its last setting), has a small kickstand and a pretty decent magnet, which I put on "strong" upgraded by simply inserting a small molybdenum magnet between it and the fridge. Last but not least, I just looked down and noticed that the device turns itself off to conserve its single AAA battery. I can't think of anything else that I would recommend so highly.
