Stencils too thin

I was very happy about this wooden package. I loved everything about it. When I tried to apply the stencil, the paint didn't spread well. I have examined you in many ways. I used different brushes and foam stampers. In the end I sent the item back. The templates are too thin.

perfect for stain. they have stayed on the wall for 3 weeks now using command strips.
