I can only assume this product must have changed in the past few months as the ones I've gotten work great. Previous reviews seem to indicate that this product had serious audio issues. Although I haven't experienced it myself. The 50mm drivers are quite loud and produce decent bass. The earplugs are comfortable to wear even over long periods of time and sit very well on the ears. I'm only using the PC's audio out, so I can't comment on any PS4 issues this product may be having. The product comes in a very attractive packaging and is definitely a very good gift. I would rate the sound quality as above average. It's definitely not on the same level as a $200 set of studio headphones, but they're fine for playing video games and watching videos on a computer. I probably wouldn't use them for listening to music, but that's only because I have a set of quality studio headphones and would rather use them. I find the product a bit overpriced. I would put this down to the fact that it's aimed at gamers, which means manufacturers believe they can charge a premium. In addition, packaging costs are likely to be significant. You also have to pay to license the Rainbow 6 brand. If it wasn't for the above, they would probably sell in the $70 range.
