Review on ⚡ Xantrex PROwatt SW 600W 12V True-Sine Inverter - Model 806-1206 by Girish Underwood

I am generally satisfied with this device. I also have a Xantrex Prosine 2.0 so I had high hopes as my Prosine machine was showing great results. However, the PROWatt 600 doesn't quite live up to Xantrex's mostly good reputation. Most disappointing was the pulse power, which didn't quite match the nameplate power of 1200 watts. Also, its internal voltmeter was cut off by 0.2 volts at 30 amps input power (it doesn't work at 0 amps), probably because the internal voltmeter pick-off isn't on the rear battery terminals but is located further inside the unit. This is mostly a problem as the device beeps prematurely for low voltage when the battery voltage drops. If you want to operate a TV/DVD player/video game system, mobile phone or charger, etc., use this unit. However, if you have the desire to use small hand tools with an electric motor (inductive load) I would drop this unit or buy a more powerful version.
