I bought these for the new COB LED technology.
Lots of choices available. I chose the HeroBeam LED Lantern V2.0 because of the newer COB LED technology and the additional flashlight feature. We plan to use these for home usage during power outages or when we need an additional light source under cabinets or in the basement. They are small and lightweight made of plastic and easy to use (just open and close the lantern for the amount of light you want. The flashlight is a steady light beam with it's own on/off button and it can be used at the same time as the lantern. Plus, I like that these are powered by 3-AA batteries.
- The LED bulbs used in this lantern are designed to last for thousands of hours, so you won't have to worry about replacing them anytime soon
- The instructions are difficult to read and follow
