It is very weak and not strong at all. But I wanted to agree with him when in doubt. So I kept my fingers crossed as I sorted through all of my son's shoes/trainers! When I get up the next morning, all the shoes are scattered in their places and the shelf is disassembled. I wanted to try it anyway and thought maybe I'd just stick it on the wall. But when I put it back together, I realized that the plastic connectors had really snapped! So, not only do I have to attach it to the wall, but somehow seal the cracked connectors with tape. My kid's shoes aren't even heavy. This shelf is too long and thin so it doesn't hold much without tipping over. Should it be a shoe rack? Maybe it's more of a few items. I am so disappointed. I'll see how I can use this now until I find another better quality shelf.
