We installed outside, in brick above the sliding glass doors to our covered patio. The door is a heavy 8' and hard to open and close when you've been in the pool or have food or drinks in-hand. Air flow is sufficient to keep cool temp in the house, but not quite all the Florida humidity out. But for a gathering of people, it works great so as to not have to open and close the slider. One star removed for cost, as I feel $200 would be a good price point, and also the blower is pretty loud.can hear it on the other side of the house. With no remote included, we used a remote-control plug extension and that works great (see video).
