The microphone has a headphone jack which (if working) would turn off the microphone speaker and send the audio output to the headphones, does not work for discrete communications. When you connect the headphone jack, the microphone stops working and the headphones do not work. When the jack is plugged into the bottom of the microphone it creates a full short to the headphone jack. Back to the drawing board: This version is a design flaw. These people may want to learn the quality control process, it's clear they don't have one.
