I am very happy with this product! So far I've used it to cover my desk (it had minor surface damage like paint splatters and water rings) as well as a cheap cardboard box that I use as a computer stand. It is very easy and gentle to apply - it looks like a large sticker, but it can be moved. To avoid blistering or wrinkling of the surface, I would recommend applying it slowly and incrementally (just shaving off an inch or two the first time) and then gradually smoothing it out. I used the rim of a small, smooth box for this, but it could probably be done with a credit card or just your fingers. I've also included a photo of how the sections look like they overlap. Not too noticeable, but can they snag if you run a bit over the surface? With a lot of material left on the roll I've tested the small strips on the countertop, in the fridge and on a painted wall and so far they've held up well with no sticky residue or damage when removed. My only problem was not cutting exactly to the edge of the table and my hand kept grabbing it when using the mouse. I trimmed and lightly sanded this edge and now it doesn't sag at all. It also has a few issues when trying to fold it around a corner: the flat parts work, but it doesn't stay folded well (like on my box) if you're hoping to use it for an application that requires it.
