Review on πŸ“ Starrett 1202F 6 Stainless Steel Caliper: Precision Specifications and Resolution by Dave Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Fractional Caliper for Carpenters

I have just bought my second Starrett 1202F-6 not because of any problems with the one I have been using for 5 years but because it has become so irreplaceable. Part of my woodworking that I don't want to risk without a backup if I manage to break it. The vernier caliper makes it easy to work with sizes up to 1/64" and even up to 1/128". It probably doesn't match the accuracy of the much more expensive, higher quality Starrett calipers (and made in the USA), but it's more than adequate for woodworking. I compared it to other imported calipers and found the finish and accuracy to be superior. I highly recommend it to carpenters who want to stop importing plastic or unbranded steel. It's an accurate, reliable tool and one of the few quality calipers available today.
