Great Fractional Caliper for Carpenters

I have just bought my second Starrett 1202F-6 not because of any problems with the one I have been using for 5 years but because it has become so irreplaceable. Part of my woodworking that I don't want to risk without a backup if I manage to break it. The vernier caliper makes it easy to work with sizes up to 1/64" and even up to 1/128". My only complaint is that it's too expensive to leave idle or try to put in my back pocket, so I always have to use a case. I suspect it's a compromise over the $10 manual sliding caliper. This is less of a complaint than a warning if you think it will 100% replace a cheap caliper. I still find myself…
