Worked really well for about a week then just stopped while watching a stream during a light rainstorm. When I went to check the light, it was full of water. I thought the problem was the lack of a proper waterproof mounting plate (I've seen other reviewers comment on this) so I got an outdoor camera junction box and Revain sent a replacement camera/lamp. The new unit had a different mounting plate and weatherproof plug instead of the usual nuts, suggesting Geeni knew the old mounting kit would not fit. I installed a new camera, but the next day it started raining and the new unit died within hours. Between the two blocks I identified the problem: the loop where the camera/light connects to the base is completely open, as you can (sort of) see in the first photo. If you look at the second photo you can see how much water was collected from the light. If there was a leak in the junction box and the wires got wet there would be an arc (I've read a few reviews where this has happened) but it really looks like water is getting into the headlights through that open connection penetrates where you can bend the corner. .Of course I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot but I really can't imagine it lasting anywhere. In my case, it was immediately obvious that this product is not waterproof, but I'm pretty sure this thing can last for months before failing if you live in a slightly drier climate. I imagine many of these positive reviews will be changed when the spring rainy weather hits most of the country and these things break en masse. Then you have to deal with Geeni customer service who were INCREDIBLY unhelpful when I called to install the first unit. Camera, do I need to install another application. Which poses another problem: there is no Geeni app for PC/Windows. Cortana smart home is almost dead and the only way to access your Geeni devices is from your phone. Also, I've been very impressed with other Geeni products I've purchased and even bought more bulbs after the headlights/cameras turned me off. installed these crappy cameras and now I don't even have a spotlight. Do not buy this item, it is junk and a waste of time.
