Pros:1. Waterproof - definitely keeps my dog out of the rain2. Adjustable3. Good reflective edges 4. Not insulated (might be a minus for you if that's not what you're looking for) 5. Accepts a harness line easily. Cons: 1. Slightly loose - the jacket slides off my dog and occasionally needs adjustment2. The orange color is a really bright fluorescent orange safety vest. Summary I wanted a non-insulated raincoat for my dog that would simply keep my dog out of the rain (and subsequent dog wet smell) and not overheat him with unnecessary insulation. Finding a dog raincoat with no insulation or fleece was not easy, so I was very happy to find this one. My dog is 55 pounds, has an 18" neck, 27" chest and is about 26" long from base of neck to tail. The Large fits his neck and chest perfectly, leaving room to let his chest out as he gains weight. The collar of the jacket also helps cover half of his neck and can tighten it up if needed. I use a harness for my dog (she's quite a hunter) and the zippered portion on the back of this dog jacket provides easy harness system compatibility. The jacket is quite long, reaching almost to the base of my dog's tail. This extra length is good for protecting the dog from the rain, but it's also a disadvantage as the extra length of the jacket tends to slip down on my dog when I'm active or just moving. About every half block or so I have to bend down and adjust his jacket to cover his back. There are straps built into the end of the jacket that you wrap around your dog's hind legs to keep the jacket in place. However, my dog didn't like it when I wrapped something around his back legs, so this jacket feature didn't work at all for us. It's okay, but having to constantly adjust the jacket is annoying on a long walk. One thing to know is that this jacket is almost fluorescent orange, almost a hunter of safe orange, not the sporty orange you would expect from athletic wear or outerwear. I think this makes it easier to spot your dog in cloudy conditions. If the color were a little more muted and the jacket would hold up well on the dog, I would give it 5 stars. However, it does meet my needs and keeps my dog dry so other than that I'm very happy with it.
