The SilentCare hiking shoes were ordered for use when working outdoors and hiking. This is a nice pair of suede and mesh shoe that is comfortable to wear. Since I have only had them a short time, I cannot comment on how they will hold up. They have a rubber sole that seems firm enough, and definitely supports my ankles and lower foot. The arch support was a little off for me, but that may be due to the shape or length of my foot. That is not a criticism since feet for people are different from person to person. The shoes are light, but not the lightest hiking shoe I've ever seen. However, I would put it up against some of the higher priced and supposed higher quality shoes on the market.I wear a perfect 13 Medium (D), and have worn that size for years. The only criticism I might have about these shoes is that the toe box seems to be a little narrow on the inner side of each big toe. I only say this since all of the other shoes I own do not have that issue. Of course, this may change as the shoes begin to break it.BOTTOM LINE: I like these shoes in the time that I've had them. With the exception of the issue with the toe box, these are a very comfortable shoe to wear. The shoes provide good support for the ankles and lower foot.
