I bought this product because one of our dogs has brittle nails. He likes to run around the house, and there are a lot of big rocks in the back. He tore off his front nails. Usually the nail breaks at the ends but there have been a few instances where it has come off almost completely and you could see it hurting and kept licking it trying to loosen it. We've been to the vet and to the vet. sees no problem other than being active. Let's see how it goes, I've been sprinkling it over his food for about a month now. Due to the weather, we rarely went outside because when the weather was warm **updated 2 months ago** the nail broke off somewhere again yesterday. So far I don't think it's that good. We'll continue to give him this until we're done and look for something else if it doesn't improve.
