Review on Waterproof Slip-On Hiking Boot For Men: KEEN Brixen by Eric Grayson

I bought this along with the Keen Targhee 3, expecting them to be pretty similar. They are NOT. This shoe has a VERY large toebox, and the entire shoe seems to be a bit larger than the Targhee 3. I suspect maybe this is because the Brixen is designed for winter use, and thus Keen is assuming you'd be wearing very thick socks? My feet are almost always too warm with socks on, so I don't own any socks thicker than an athletic sock (no wool hiking socks or anything). I tried the thickest athletic socks I own (which are Duluth Trading "Everyday Lightweight" socks), and even with those, these shoes felt a tad large / sloppy.I'd be concerned about blisters if I were walking much in this scenario.The heel retention is also not very good, although some of this is probably due to the looseness as well. I'd be worried that a 12 would be too small (I normally wear 13 and ordered these in 13). The Keen Targhee 3 in 13 fits better, and is actually slightly too narrow in the toebox for me.
