I was suffering from migraines and STRONG neck pain from nightly exercise. That's my problem (hard to explain), but basically my bite causes my jaw to go into an awkward position when my mouth is closed. My back teeth touch before my front teeth touch and when this alignment is not properly aligned it causes many problems like migraines and deep cavities in my back teeth due to unbalanced pressure. To alleviate this, my neck instinctively shifts into an uncomfortable position to keep my jaw comfortable while I sleep. It's a problem that's hard to explain, but you know what I'm talking about, if you have these problems: TMJ, lockjaw, tooth sensitivity, neck pain, and horrible migraines, you should try this. This mouthpiece doesn't let my molars touch ANYTHING at all. It has completely relieved my neck pain and I can sleep soundly through the night. As a result, my back teeth can no longer withstand the pressure they used to have and instead my front teeth can rest comfortably on the bite plate and my jaw aligns properly instead of my unbalanced bite. Again, it's hard to explain, but it means I wake up with my jaw relaxed instead of uncomfortably frozen. Even if I "grind" my teeth, nothing actually happens, because the bite protection is STRONG. It came with two but it's been over 7 months and I haven't made any dents on the first one. I don't think I can do without it now. It was a lifesaver and only took me 5-6 minutes to fit on my teeth.
