Inexpensive, suitable for hard fruits and vegetables, not suitable for fresh bread.
I bake bread every day and for some reason the men in the house can't cut an even slice of the load. I bought this for her and also to help when I'm dehydrated a lot. It's well made for the price, but doesn't have enough power to slice fresh bread. The blade's rotation will slow to almost a complete stop. In addition, there is not enough space behind the knife to move the cut piece freely, it clumps. On the other hand, it is excellent for other products. Tough carrots cut easily, like a warm knife through butter.
