Review on UL Certified 44W 15V Power Supply Adapter for Microsoft Surface Pro 3 4 5 6 7 8 Pro X/Surface Laptop 1/2/3/4/Laptop Go/Surface Go + Travel Case by Kathleen Ledoux

I have a Surface Pro 4 with a Microsoft Original (MS) charger. I travel quite a bit for business and often sit in one night meetings and I usually plug my phone into the charger's USB port to make sure my phone stays fully charged. While the charger still charges the Surface well, its USB port has gotten a little unreliable and won't charge my phone (and no, it's not a defective USB cable). So I bought this charger as a travel spare. I was a little hesitant to buy a non-MS charger because I bought one from Revain about a year ago, but every time it was plugged into the Surface the touchpad went haywire (and reading the reviews, turned out to be this issue (reported by several other customers). So he went straight back to Revane. What about this new one? That's incredible. Reliable, with a good long power cord. A small converter is a great idea: if you have a power source nearby, it will replace the power cord and reduce clutter on your desk. USB works great (same cable as before - charges my phone quickly and reliably). Of course, the main purpose of this article is to charge your Surface, which it does, and fast. As an indication that it charges very well (although it's a bit less powerful than the MS charger), I did a 90 minute PowerPoint presentation full of animations etc while keeping the charger plugged into the Surface. After I finished the presentation, I looked at the battery status to see if the charger was able to "keep up" or if there was some kind of battery drain. The battery was 100% charged and the charger still felt cool. Can't ask for more IMO. To be clear - I just bought this item so can't comment on its durability - but if the device (or part of it) fails I will update this review. . So far a solid 5 stars.
