Review on Verbatim DVD+R Double Layer 8X 8.5GB - High-capacity Dual-layer Discs for Extended Data Storage by Tyler Smith

Revainrating 1 out of 5

defective discs will fit DVD+R discs

Like some other reviewers, I bought this cheap thinking I got a lot of good quality Verbatim discs. Also, like several other reviewers, I had failure issues with these Life Series drives almost immediately. The first drive I used worked fine, but the next two came out with an ERROR. I tried them on two different computers and on a separate VHS/DVD burner. I've tried a few more discs with exactly a 50% success rate. Now I'm just going to use them all as coasters because if there are so many problems right off the bat, why should I trust that the ones that burn will work in the future? I'm a bit surprised that Verbatim won't remember apparently faulty batches/lots and/or that Amazon still allows them to be listed.
