After I bought a compost bin with my own set of charcoal filters, looked through all the filters that came with it and realized I needed to buy more, I set out on a search for "charcoal filters". for compost. I bought one and found it too small (in diameter) and also too thin to last long enough for the price I paid. After a lot of searching you also found that most charcoal compost filters only fit the most common compost bins and mine was wider than most. So I got this long sheet of charcoal and it's three times the thickness of most filters and I could easily get 12 filters out of this thing! For its thickness, each filter lasts 2-3 times longer than most carbon filters I've seen and installed today. it fits PERFECTLY <3. Of course, using regular scissors and white charcoal for the outline, I had to cut out a round shape for the compost bin lid. It was easy. Yes, I recommend it to anyone who needs a custom sized charcoal filter. Yes, it fully justifies its price.
