Screw the lamps into the socket and switch them on. It flashed in several colors, and then glowed like an ordinary light bulb. I downloaded the LIkind app and figured out how to add and control lights in minutes. The lights update automatically once connected to Wi-Fi and I found that after the update they stopped responding to the app until the power was turned off. never mind Setting it up with Alexa was more difficult due to the clunky Alexa app, but voice control worked as expected. I've had them installed for a little over 24 hours so it will be interesting to see how long they last without major issues. So far no complaints. I have read comments discussing other models and others detailing things that could have been designed differently. I won't deny that the lights aren't perfect and may not be as good compared to the competition, but as a new smart light owner, they're pretty cool. I will be ordering at least two or three more boxes in the near future if they continue to work properly.
