Since I didn't purchase this laptop for myself, I didn't want to void the warranty by installing any additional memory. Windows 7 requires wheels in order to be installed, Windows 8.1 is installed automatically, but I was unable to locate the necessary graphics and wireless drivers and was forced to upgrade to the most recent version (version 10k), which is significantly less stable and has a worse performance overall than version 8k, taking longer to boot up and shut down and leaving significantly less free memory. Once the settings were adjusted, 10ka started behaving more normally; in general, the laptop performs admirably when used for office work and web browsing, and it also conveniently removes the NVME disk. Even with the memory switched to 2-channel, the laptop is unfit for gaming due to its low power restriction ( 15w), which causes the processor's frequency (and memory's!) to constantly jump, leading to friezes and stutters in games. I got this laptop on sale for a little over 22t. R., and while that's not too bad, I wouldn't recommend it at full price; instead, I'd suggest looking into alternatives from other manufacturers because the case is absolutely atrocious, even if it seems to be the norm these days. A 4GB SKHynix 4Gb DDR4-3200 module is installed in one of the laptop's two memory slots, but the slot doesn't support speeds higher than 2400 and its timings are stuck at 17-17-17. I can't comment on BIOS modifications because my knowledge of AMD BIOS is limited; in contrast to Intel's BIOS, AMD's is poorly studied; the Ryzen Master refuses to function; and the Quick CPU makes no sense.
