When I bought these I wanted to replace a pair of sandals I received prior to my 2012 trip to New England. These sandals wore well until they were destroyed in the spring. These were their replacements. However, there was a problem with it being a pair of sandals. Instead, they have evolved into all-purpose shoes for home and casual nights out. They wore very well and the first pair could use glitter. The second pair is still in the box. I have never had more comfortable shoes. They were defeated and carried on. My fears that they would fall apart like the infamous Crocs with this back strap have not materialized with them. They are like shoes with a hard heel. But very malleable and more durable. My first pair did not disappoint. Choose one size up if you have wide and long feet.
