These shorts are great for what I bought them for, which is wearing them as shorts all day but prepared just in case I plan to get wet. Not great for swimming since the waist band is not elastic and no drawstring to keep them on. I bought the khaki color and they are completely see through when they get wet since there is no liner, I have to wear something underneath them. They are quick drying. They are very comfortable to wear as regular shorts. They stretch nicely and and very thin and light. I wear a 32 waste regularly. I think these run a little larger. They still fit fine with a belt on. The waistband is not elastic, so if I go swimming and take my belt of they do not stay up well. I would recommend buying a waist size smaller than normal shorts so they stay on without a belt. They are also quite a bit longer than I expected them to be. I am 6'1" and they come down to my knees.
