Let's face it, this thing isn't designed to stop a bullet. It protects your iPad from other things in your backpack and from very light falls. The case actually consists of two parts, a flip cover and a molded foam sleeve that attaches to your iPad. The flip-top is permanently attached to the casting, which appears to be pretty solid. The pencil tab in the molded case is a little tight, making it a bit difficult to reach with large fingers. The opening for the charging cable is large enough to allow access to the iPad with even the bulkiest USB-C. The flip top is made of a material that seems quite springy at the moment, but I've seen it crack at the joints from fatigue in the future. The material is similar to that of three-ring binders. It has a nice velvety touch. The case supports the iPad fairly well, and since the keyboard is detachable, you can put the iPad away and still type comfortably with the keyboard removed from the case. The keyboard must be made in the same factory as cheap electronic toys. I tend to be rude, but I don't think she can take a fall off a bar table. It's very easy and it works. My only complaint about the keyboard is that I want to adjust the brightness of the LED backlight. My disclaimer: I always keep my iPad Pro and an extra case from my old laptop.
