Does the job although I don't know how long they will last as I just installed a pair. I found it easiest to first hook the ends of the cable through the door hinges, then attach the two springs to one end of the cable, and finally attach the springs to the other cable. The final step requires tensioning the springs so they have some tension when at rest, but I was able to do this fairly easily using just my hands. The only tool I needed for the repair was a screwdriver to loosen the plate screws.
