Pros: * It has a slim profile and looks quite good compared to tower fans. Mostly unobtrusive. * It is relatively quiet when new. Almost silent at the lowest speed and not annoying at higher speeds. * The remote control is excellent. Easy to use even when fumbling out of bed in the dark as long as you can feel where the speed button is. * Breeze works great for me. I think some people want hair and paper flying around. That's not it. But I definitely feel the wind at high speed. I usually put it in front of the air conditioner floor vent at low speed to keep my home air conditioner cool. It's chilly here in the supermarket right now, my thermostat is set to 78 while it's over 100 degrees outside. The way I like it.* Not too difficult to assemble. I did this from a wheelchair in about 20 minutes. I inevitably messed up the base build on the first try, but that doesn't matter. Disadvantages: * The main disadvantage is that it will deteriorate or stop working completely within a few years. At this price I would like to expect about 5 years of reliability. In my experience it's 3 years or less. I replaced one I bought less than 3 years ago because after 2 1/2 years it got very noisy. Lately it hasn't blown at all at low speed until it switches to high speed, oscillates for a few minutes and then shakes. Knock out what's blocking it and it resumes its work with a creak. *Perhaps this is related to the disadvantages mentioned above. I don't see a way to clear the filter. * I agree with others that night mode shouldn't be limited to the nature setting where the speed changes just like natural mode. But I don't really care because *Night Mode doesn't really dim the fan indicator light as promised. In fact, night mode is essentially a nature mode, with crescent moonlighting instead of blue pinelight. Pretty useless. This is another bright LED indicator that disturbs sleep. I keep buying them because the pros give me the relief I desire better than the alternatives I've tried.
