I was surprised and mostly satisfied with this blanket. The sherpa lining is warm but not heavy. The best thing is the beautiful fabric and design on the back. It feels so soft and the roses and leaves have a little sparkle to make the design stand out from the background. The photo doesn't convey this properly. If I have to send my duvet to the cleaners, I use the duvet as a duvet. I'm deducting a star because of the construction. Sherpa is attached to the plush fabric around the perimeter, but ONLY around the perimeter. So when you put it from the washer to the dryer or put it on your bed, the two pieces of material don't necessarily move together. You could hide some of the stitching around the rosette patterns or even from the four corners towards the center to hold the two pieces together. It would be much easier to fold and carry, especially if you have a large double bed! My litter from Northpoint is exactly the same.
