I work from home with very limited desk space and recently took my desk out of storage to separate work and personal items. It's great not having to disconnect cables to switch back and forth. I usually only have one of the computers running at a time, but switching back and forth wasn't a problem the few times I've done it. I've noticed that the icons on my work laptop are swapped when only one display is detected, just in case it's important to someone. The icons go back to normal when I switch back and the computer takes about a second to adjust. Otherwise, there is almost no lag when switching, and there are no issues with keyboard or mouse functionality. I noticed that it remembers the last computer that sent a signal and doesn't jump to an active source, a feature I had on my previous KMV. So if you were last using PC2 and now turn on (only) PC1, you need to press the PC1 button (or use the switch) to change the source. For me this is not a decisive factor, but it can be useful for someone. The device looks solid, aesthetically I like the look and feel and the way the ports are placed, it really works for me and my device's physical setup. Devices. The one I got had a black switch (I know some have blue) to match my countertop which I like. It is powered via the HDMI port so I don't use the included USB power cable. I had this device.
